French Minister: No Question of Reversing Brexit Withdrawal Deal
PARIS (Reuters) – French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated on Monday that there is “no question of going back” on the Brexit withdrawal agreement.
Speaking on France Inter radio, Le Drian emphasized that reverting the withdrawal deal is not an option, noting that it remains challenging to navigate the current deadlock surrounding the Irish backstop.
Le Drian also mentioned that it is up to the British people to determine whether they wish to pursue a second referendum on their departure from the European Union.
