A tragic school shooting in Georgia on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including two 14-year-old boys and two mathematics teachers. The boys, remembered for their kindness and humor, were identified as Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo.

Mason Schermerhorn had just begun his high school journey last month. Described by family as someone who consistently maintained a positive outlook, he enjoyed playing video games.

Christian Angulo was remembered by his sister as "a very good kid" who was caring and sweet. She expressed her heartbreak in a fundraiser established to cover his funeral costs.

Ricky Aspinwall, 39, a math teacher at Apalachee High School where the shooting occurred, also served as a football coach. In a tribute on social media, the school’s football program expressed their deep love for him, stating, "To our beloved defensive coordinator Ricky Aspinwall, we will carry you heavy in our hearts."

A fundraiser to support Aspinwall’s family had already gathered nearly $186,000 in donations by Thursday afternoon. A former player highlighted Aspinwall’s belief in him during challenging times, noting, "His love was genuine, and his heart was pure."

Cristina Irimie, 53, was also identified as a mathematics teacher. A fundraiser launched to assist her family praised her dedication to educating students and her caring nature. Students recalled her as patient, and a local parish priest emphasized her unique ability to connect with young people.

Investigators are currently working to determine how the suspected shooter, identified as 14-year-old Colt Gray, managed to obtain the semiautomatic rifle used in the incident.

The tragedy unfolded at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, and the community mourns the loss of these individuals.
