Time for ETH to Rise and Shine as Futures Trading Now Available in the US
ErisX, a cryptocurrency exchange platform, is set to introduce Ether (ETH) futures trading in the United States. This initiative marks the addition of the second cryptocurrency derivatives product available in the country. The announcement follows ErisX’s recent acquisition of a digital currency license from financial regulators in New York, with the company based in Chicago and supported by TD Ameritrade.
The launch of Bitcoin (BTC) futures trading occurred in 2017, when both the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board Options Exchange initiated cash-settled BTC futures trading. However, the CBOE has since discontinued its Bitcoin futures contracts trading service.
With the entry of ETH futures, traders and investors will have more opportunities to engage with digital assets in the evolving financial landscape.
