
Finland Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; OMX Helsinki 25 Rises 1.21%
Finland’s stock market saw positive movement after Thursday’s trading, driven by gains across several sectors.
By the end of the day in Helsinki, the index climbed by 1.21%.
The top performers of the session included Qt Group Oyj, which experienced a notable rise of 5.41%, adding 4.70 points to reach 91.55 by the close. Konecranes ABP also saw significant growth, increasing by 5.10% or 3.20 points to finish at 65.95. Additionally, Cargotec Oyj rose by 5.08%, gaining 2.38 points to close at 49.35.
On the downside, the worst performers were KONE Oyj, which decreased by 2.39% or 1.20 points, ending at 48.92. Fortum Oyj dropped by 1.47% or 0.21 points to close at 14.08, and Elisa Oyj fell by 0.34% or 0.16 points, finishing at 47.30.
Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, with 121 gaining and 50 losing ground, while 18 remained unchanged.
Konecranes ABP and Cargotec Oyj reached all-time highs in their share prices, showing robust gains.
In the commodities market, Brent oil for November delivery increased by 1.93%, or 1.42, reaching $75.07 per barrel. Crude oil for the same month also rose by 2.19%, or 1.53, bringing it to $71.41 per barrel, while December gold futures gained 0.61%, or 15.75, trading at $2,614.35 per troy ounce.
On the currency front, the EUR/USD remained steady with a slight change of 0.28% at 1.11, while EUR/GBP had a minor fluctuation of 0.26% at 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15%, reaching 100.43.
