Huobi, OKEx, and Upbit Make Top 10 in Messari’s ‘Real Volume’ Update

Crypto data and research platform Messari has introduced 10 new exchanges to its “real volume” metric as part of an overhaul of its methodology.

This updated ranking aims to assess exchanges by excluding wash trading, a move prompted by the influential Bitwise report that claimed 95% of reported volume was inaccurate. The report identified ten exchanges that exhibit genuine trading volume: Binance, Bitfinex, Bitflyer, Bitstamp, Bittrex, Coinbase Pro, Gemini, itBit, Kraken, and Poloniex.
