Iran’s Foreign Minister Accuses Israel of Utilizing US Bombs in Beirut, According to Reuters
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has accused Israel of utilizing U.S.-supplied "bunker buster" bombs in airstrikes on Beirut.
During a U.N. Security Council meeting on the Middle East, Araqchi stated, "Just this morning, the Israeli regime used several 5,000-pound bunker busters that had been gifted to them by the United States to hit residential areas in Beirut."
The strikes reportedly targeted senior commanders of Hezbollah, focusing on the group’s central headquarters in the suburbs of Beirut. However, a senior Israeli official indicated that it was still uncertain whether the attack had succeeded in eliminating Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
