Israel Military Warns of Consequences Following Iran Attack, According to Reuters
JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Iran’s missile attack on Tuesday was significant and will lead to repercussions, according to a spokesperson for the Israeli military, who refrained from detailing how or when Israel might retaliate.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari reported that there were no confirmed casualties from the missile strikes, although he noted that several impacts were recorded in both central and southern regions of the country.
"We are on high alert both defensively and offensively," Hagari stated during a TV appearance. "We will protect the citizens of the State of Israel. This attack will have consequences. We have plans in place, and we will act at the time and place of our choosing."
The missile assault was a response from Iran to Israel’s ongoing operations against Hezbollah, its ally in Lebanon. Sirens blared throughout Israel, and explosions echoed in Jerusalem and the Jordan River valley as residents rushed into bomb shelters.
