Israeli Military Intercepts Missile Fired from Yemen, According to Reuters
JERUSALEM – A missile launched from Yemen towards central Israel was successfully intercepted on Monday, according to the Israeli military.
The missile triggered air raid sirens in various parts of central Israel, prompting residents to seek shelter.
The Israeli Air Force confirmed that they intercepted the surface-to-surface missile after the alarms were activated in multiple areas.
While the military’s statement did not specify who was responsible for the missile launch, the Iran-backed Houthi movement, which governs northern Yemen, has conducted numerous attacks on Israel in recent months, claiming these actions are in support of the Palestinian cause.
