Israel’s Dermer to Meet Sullivan at White House Regarding Gaza, Reports Reuters
Meeting on Gaza Conflict
WASHINGTON – White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan is scheduled to meet with Israeli official Ron Dermer on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing Gaza conflict, according to a White House representative.
The United States is actively collaborating with Israel and Qatar to negotiate the release of hostages who have been held by Hamas since the group’s attack from Gaza on southern Israel on October 7.
The U.S. has also been urging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration to consider plans for the post-military operations phase in Gaza.
Dermer, currently serving as Israel’s minister for strategic affairs, is a prominent figure in Washington, having previously held the position of Israeli ambassador.
