
Italy Stocks Rise at Close of Trade; Italy 40 Up 0.54%
Italy’s stock market saw gains after the close on Tuesday, driven by positive performances in various sectors.
At the end of trading in Milan, the main index rose by 0.54%.
Leading the session’s gains was Tenaris SA, which increased by 4.35% or 0.57 points to close at 13.81. Brunello Cucinelli followed with a rise of 4.22% or 3.45 points, ending the day at 85.25. Additionally, Iveco Group NV saw a 2.72% increase, up 0.24 points to close at 9.13.
On the downside, Prysmian SpA experienced a decline of 2.16% or 1.42 points, trading at 64.46. FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA fell by 0.83% or 0.13 points, closing at 14.98, and Italgas SpA decreased by 0.64% or 0.04 points to finish the day at 5.41.
Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered those that declined on the Milan Stock Exchange, with 275 rising against 225 falling, while 44 remained unchanged.
In commodities, crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.44% or $1.01, reaching $71.38 a barrel. Brent oil for December delivery also increased, up 1.46% or $1.07 to $74.28 a barrel. The December Gold Futures contract rose by 0.83% or $21.90, trading at $2,674.40 per troy ounce.
In the currency markets, the EUR/USD remained stable, up 0.40% at 1.12, while the EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.83. The US Dollar Index Futures fell by 0.28%, settling at 100.28.
