Israel Stocks Close Lower; TA 35 Down 0.22%

Israel’s stock market closed lower on Thursday, with declines in various sectors leading to a downturn in shares.

The Tel Aviv index fell by 0.22%, reaching a new one-month low.

Among the best performers of the session were Camtek Ltd, which saw a rise of 2.99%, or 830 points, closing at 28,550. Nova increased by 2.82%, or 2,060 points, to finish at 75,030, while Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd gained 1.85%, or 108 points, ending at 5,938.

On the downside, Shapir Engineering Industry experienced the most significant drop, falling by 3.27%, or 63 points, to close at 1,863. Shikun & Binui decreased by 2.68%, or 21.70 points, finishing at 788.80, and Ashtrom Group Ltd declined by 2.36%, or 111 points, to settle at 4,589.

The number of declining stocks outpaced advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, with 256 stocks falling compared to 187 that rose, and 96 remaining unchanged.

In the commodities market, crude oil for November delivery rose by 1.00%, or 0.70, settling at $70.58 per barrel. Brent oil for November also increased, gaining 0.94%, or 0.69, to reach $74.34 per barrel. Additionally, December gold futures climbed by 0.29%, or 7.65, trading at $2,606.25 per troy ounce.

The exchange rates showed the USD/ILS was steady at 3.78, while the EUR/ILS remained unchanged at 4.20. The US Dollar Index Futures increased by 0.34%, reaching 100.62.
