SEC Extends Deadline for ARK 21Shares Spot Bitcoin ETF to January
The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is utilizing the maximum timeframe permitted to decide on a spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposal from ARK 21Shares.
In a notice dated September 26, the SEC announced that it would extend the period in which it must determine whether to approve or reject a proposed rule change that would enable ARK 21Shares’ spot BTC ETF on the Cboe BZX Exchange. The previous postponement on August 11 allowed the commission until November 11 to make its decision regarding approval, disapproval, or further deferral.
