Lebanese PM Hariri Declares Time for ‘Painkillers’ is Over, Reports Reuters
BEIRUT – Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri announced on Thursday that Lebanon is facing significant economic and financial challenges, emphasizing that the time for quick fixes is over as his new national unity government begins its term.
“The era of treating issues with temporary solutions has passed. No one can ignore the reality any longer. The problems are evident, and the sources of corruption, waste, and administrative inefficiencies are well understood,” he stated.
Hariri acknowledged the widespread concern among Lebanese citizens regarding the economic situation and stressed that the government’s efforts cannot be delayed.
