Los Altos, California, September 26th, 2024

Mawari Network, a trailblazer in Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), is at the forefront of revolutionizing spatial computing. The company recently raised $10.8 million in a strategic funding round led by Anfield LTD, Borderless Capital, and 1kx. Additionally, prominent investors such as Accord Ventures, Animoca Brands Japan, Blockchange Ventures, Draper Dragon, iAngels, Mulana Ventures, Parami Investors, and others have joined in, alongside notable angel investors like Ivan Brightly, Joshua Frank, Pete Townsend, and Sean Carey.

Mawari is recognized as a leader in 3D streaming technology, having received three patents, with 11 more pending. It serves a diverse clientele of 40 companies, including well-known brands like Netflix and BMW. With a technological advantage of seven years in streaming immersive experiences, Mawari aims to utilize its DePIN model to deliver 3D content swiftly and affordably to devices across the globe.

The company’s platform enables real-time 3D content streaming to devices such as Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 through a worldwide network of GPUs. By leveraging decentralized elements, Mawari is addressing significant challenges within the spatial computing sector. Founded in 2017, Mawari has developed a platform that provides decentralized computing and storage solutions specifically optimized for augmented and virtual reality experiences.

Sean Carey, Helium Co-Founder and Partner at Borderless Capital, remarked on Mawari’s innovations: “Every time I see what Mawari is building, I am reminded of how wild the future of spatial computing will be.”

Christopher Heymann, Founding Partner at 1kx, noted, "Mawari is not only an early pioneer in spatial computing but is also one of the first successful Web2 businesses leveraging blockchain to drive innovation and improve user experience."

The newly acquired funds will support Mawari in expanding into new markets. The team plans to enhance its Spatial Streaming SDK and invest in research and development to maintain its competitive edge in decentralized spatial computing. Furthermore, Mawari intends to strengthen its business development efforts to connect with more clients as the demand for spatial computing devices grows in regions like Asia and the Americas.

Luis Oscar Ramirez, Founder & CEO of Mawari, expressed the company’s mission: “Our vision has always been to bring immersive experiences to everyone, and this investment will unlock the platform for a broader community to build the 3D Internet with us.”

Mawari’s solution comprises two main components: the Spatial Streaming SDK and the Mawari Network. The Spatial Streaming SDK offers a toolkit that integrates with popular development platforms like Unity and Unreal Engine, enabling creators to focus on content creation without delving into backend issues. Meanwhile, the Mawari Network is a decentralized, GPU-powered content delivery network optimized for spatial computing. Its global network of GPU nodes ensures low latency and optimal performance, facilitating seamless and high-quality content distribution worldwide.

Mawari is setting a new standard for decentralized spatial computing and immersive content delivery, allowing creators to craft engaging digital experiences that redefine audience interaction.
