Musk Announces SpaceX’s Plans to Launch Approximately Five Uncrewed Starships to Mars in Two Years, According to Reuters

SpaceX is preparing to launch approximately five uncrewed Starships to Mars within the next two years, as stated by CEO Elon Musk in a recent social media post. He noted that if these missions land successfully, crewed missions could commence in four years. However, should any challenges arise, the timeline for crewed missions could be pushed back by another two years.

Musk emphasized that regardless of the outcome of the landing attempts, SpaceX plans to significantly increase the number of spacecraft sent to Mars with each transit opportunity. He had previously mentioned the upcoming launches, indicating that the first Starships to Mars are expected to take off when the next Earth-Mars transfer window opens in two years.
