NASA Aims to Verify Its Next Moon Landing with Blockchain Technology

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), in collaboration with the Florida-based startup Lonestar and the Isle of Man, is set to launch a payload to the Moon that will include “data cubes” in February 2024. The information contained within these cubes will be verified upon its return to Earth using blockchain technology.

If all goes according to plan, this same blockchain technology will provide definitive proof that humans have landed on the Moon during NASA’s second crewed mission, Artemis 3, scheduled for 2025.
