Marathon’s Bitcoin Mining Rate Declined by 9% in August
Marathon Digital Holdings, a cryptocurrency mining operator based in the United States, reported a production of 1,072 BTC in August. This figure represents a 9% decline from July, but it is five times higher than the amount mined in August 2022.
On September 5, Marathon released unaudited updates regarding its BTC production and miner installations for August. The company noted a 2% increase in its operational hash rate month-over-month, reaching 19.1 exahashes. Additionally, the installed hash rate grew by 1% to 23.1 exahashes. This growth is attributed to upgrades from Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro miners to the more efficient S19 XP models.
