
Finland Stocks Higher at Close of Trade; OMX Helsinki 25 Up 0.25%
Finland’s stock market saw positive movement on Friday, with gains across various sectors driving shares upward.
By the end of trading in Helsinki, the index edged up 0.25%, reaching a new 52-week high.
Leading the session’s gains was Neste Oyj, which rose by 3.45%, increasing by 0.57 points to close at 17.23. Metso Oyj followed with a 2.47% gain, rising 0.23 points to finish at 9.55, while Kemira Oyj experienced a 2.45% increase, up 0.54 points to close at 22.60.
Conversely, the session saw declines from Cargotec Oyj, which fell 2.38% or 1.28 points to finish at 52.61. Elisa Oyj dropped 1.84%, down 0.90 points to 48.04, and Wartsila Oyj Abp saw a decrease of 1.41%, down 0.29 points to close at 20.21.
Overall, advancing stocks outnumbered those that declined on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, with 92 stocks rising, 69 falling, and 30 remaining unchanged.
In commodities, Brent oil for December delivery rose 0.49% to $71.44 per barrel. Meanwhile, crude oil for November delivery increased 0.66%, reaching $68.12 a barrel, although December gold futures saw a decline of 0.84%, trading at $2,672.15 per troy ounce.
The EUR/USD currency pair remained stable, increasing slightly by 0.17% to 1.12, while the EUR/GBP showed no change at 0.83.
Additionally, the US Dollar Index Futures dipped 0.05%, settling at 100.20.
