Obama: U.S. Must Embrace Economic Globalization, Says Reuters
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama stated on Friday that globalization is an undeniable reality that “we’re not going to be able to build a wall around.” He emphasized the importance of shaping the process to ensure it benefits not only large corporations but also smaller businesses.
During a news conference alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, Obama highlighted that the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement, currently under negotiation, has addressed several weaknesses and criticisms associated with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
