Mythical Games Achieves 3.3M Transactions on Polkadot in a Single Day
Blockchain gaming company Mythical Games has transitioned its Mythical Chain to a new ecosystem, allowing partners of the Mythos game to create their own chains and develop one of the most interconnected gaming environments in Web3.
This migration has brought over 750,000 active wallets from the Mythos Chain, along with a user base exceeding 5 million, to the new platform. As a result, the ecosystem has rapidly established itself as one of the largest blockchain environments for gaming. Additionally, this migration opens the door for other projects, both within gaming and other sectors, to leverage the advantages of the new ecosystem.
Recent statistics indicate that Mythos accounted for approximately 3.3 million transactions last Tuesday, a significant increase from under 500,000 the previous day. This surge was primarily driven by the transfer of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from Mythos. However, the overall number of transactions in the new ecosystem fell to 690,000 the following day, with 190,000 still attributed to Mythos.
Alongside this transition, Mythical Games has launched its Mythos ecosystem within the new platform. This decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) minimizes barriers for game developers, enabling them to utilize the technology and community support of the new ecosystem to build their own chains.
Mythical Games, recognized for its party games and flagship title Blankos Block Party, manages over 3 million monthly digital asset transactions. There are 200,000 active wallets generating more than 1 million in-game trades daily using over 1 million native MYTH tokens.
John Linden, the founder and CEO of Mythical Games, explained that the decision to migrate was influenced by several challenges encountered within the previous ecosystem. Despite the availability of Layer 2 solutions, slow transaction speeds could impede Mythical Games’ growth ambitions. Moreover, establishing a strong security and governance framework with full interoperability among other Mythos ecosystem partners was essential.
With the new platform’s flexible EVM module, the Mythos Chain retains its EVM address compatibility and allows developers to fully utilize the WebAssembly-based Substrate framework. This transition will unlock a plethora of technical opportunities for creating the next generation of mainstream applications.
As part of this migration, Mythos stands to gain from advanced cross-chain capabilities, including native cross-chain messaging and decentralized bridges.
