Kremlin to Examine Zelenskiy’s ‘Victory Plan’ Upon Official Release of Details, According to Reuters
The Kremlin announced on Monday that it will review what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has described as his “victory plan” to conclude the ongoing war with Russia once official details become available.
Zelenskiy is set to present the plan to U.S. President Joe Biden and his potential successors, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, during his upcoming visit to the United States, where he will also address the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.
Although Zelenskiy has not disclosed specific details publicly, the initiative seems to be a significant effort to convince Washington and other allies to increase their support for Ukraine, aiming to compel Moscow to end the conflict on terms favorable to Kyiv.
Ukrainian officials have indicated that Russia might eventually be invited to a summit to discuss a resolution to the ongoing conflict under this new plan.
When asked about Zelenskiy’s proposal, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized caution, stating, “We believe that one should not analyze media reports. If information about it appears in official sources, we will of course scrutinize it. There is a lot of contradictory and unreliable information circulating, so we approach this with care.”
