IBM, Microsoft, and Others Join Post-Quantum Cryptography Coalition
IBM and Microsoft have joined forces to address post-quantum cryptography (PQC), collaborating with the not-for-profit research organization MITRE, the U.K. cryptography firm PQShield, Google-affiliated SandboxAQ, and the University of Waterloo.
Post-quantum cryptography aims to mitigate the potential threats posed by future quantum computers. Current cryptographic methods depend on complex mathematical problems to prevent unauthorized decryption efforts.
