Russian Central Bank Warns of Continued High Medium-Term Inflation Risks, Reports Reuters
Russia’s Inflation Outlook
Moscow – According to the central bank, Russia’s annual inflation may have reached its highest point in July. However, the bank cautioned that medium-term inflationary risks remain elevated, making it premature to declare a consistent reduction in inflationary pressures.
Analysts anticipate that the central bank will increase its key interest rate by 100 basis points to 19% during its upcoming meeting on September 13, aiming to address the persistent high inflation.
