Sam Bankman-Fried Expected to Appear in a Suit and Tie at Trial
A federal judge has approved a motion from the legal team representing Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, allowing him to wear business attire during the upcoming criminal trial.
In an order issued on September 27 by Judge Lewis Kaplan in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, it was stated that the United States Marshals Service and the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn will facilitate SBF’s wearing of business clothing for the duration of the trial, which begins in October. Authorities will be tasked with accepting and maintaining a specified wardrobe, which includes three full suits, four dress shirts, three ties, one belt, four pairs of socks, two pairs of shoes, and appropriate undergarments.
