MADRID (Reuters) – Support for Spain’s far-right political party Vox has increased significantly compared to a month ago, while the ruling Socialists continue to maintain their lead, according to a voting intention poll released on Thursday.
The poll from the Centre for Sociological Studies (CIS) revealed that the relatively new party Vox is projected to receive 6.5 percent of the vote, placing them in fifth position, an increase from the 3.7 percent recorded in the December poll.
In terms of overall support, the ruling Socialists are expected to secure 29.9 percent of the vote if elections were held today, rising from 28.9 percent in the previous month’s survey.
