Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vinciquerra Resigns, Reports Reuters

Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra will be stepping down from his position at the beginning of next year, with COO Ravi Ahuja set to take over on January 2, 2025, according to a statement released by the company.

Vinciquerra, who has been with SPE since 2017, will continue to provide advisory support as non-executive chairman until the end of December 2025.

During his tenure, Vinciquerra was pivotal in several key decisions, including the divestment of most of the company’s cable networks and the acquisition of Crunchyroll in 2021.

Ahuja joined SPE in 2021 and has been responsible for overseeing the production businesses, which have delivered numerous acclaimed series such as The Crown, The Boys, Better Call Saul, Shark Tank, and The Last of Us, among others.
