
Sweden Stocks Decline at Market Close; OMX Stockholm 30 Falls 0.11%
Sweden’s stock market closed lower on Friday, driven down by losses in various sectors.
At the end of trading in Stockholm, the overall index decreased by 0.11%.
Among the session’s top performers was Hexagon AB series B, which saw a rise of 2.46%, adding 2.70 points to close at 110.60. NIBE Industrier AB series B also performed well, increasing by 1.41% or 0.80 points to finish at 56.20, while Kinnevik Investment AB series B gained 1.30%, up 1.10 points to close at 83.30.
Conversely, the biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB, which dropped 3.65% or 0.28 points to end the day at 7.44. Telia Company AB fell by 3.55%, down 1.20 points to 32.62, and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A decreased by 1.69%, losing 1.80 points to close at 104.75.
There were more declining stocks than advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, with 379 stocks falling compared to 373 that rose, while 93 remained unchanged.
In commodities, crude oil for November delivery rose by 0.53% or 0.36, reaching $68.03 per barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for December delivery increased by 0.38% or 0.27 to $71.36 per barrel. Gold futures for December slid 0.86% or 23.10, trading at $2,671.80 per troy ounce.
In currency markets, the EUR/SEK pair fell by 0.28% to 11.27, while USD/SEK decreased by 0.10% to 10.10. The US Dollar Index Futures was also down, declining by 0.04% to 100.21.
