Ukraine Reports Downing of 28 Drones and Four Missiles During Overnight Russian Attack, According to Reuters

KYIV – The Ukrainian air force reported on Wednesday that it successfully intercepted 28 out of 32 drones and four out of eight missiles during a nighttime Russian assault.

According to the air force, Russia targeted the southern region of Odesa with four missiles. Regional governor Oleh Kiper mentioned that one missile struck an open area, igniting a fire that has since been extinguished.

Kiper also noted that debris from the attack damaged two trucks, but fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

In the Kyiv region, governor Ruslan Kravchenko stated that a drone attack did not impact critical or residential infrastructure.

In the northeastern region of Kharkiv, early morning attacks caused damage to a hangar. On Tuesday, a guided bomb attack in Kharkiv resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left 36 others injured, reported regional governor Oleh Syniehubov.

Despite the casualties from the ongoing conflict, Russia claims it does not target civilians, although thousands have lost their lives during the more than two-and-a-half years of the large-scale invasion.
