Teamsters Reach Tentative Agreement with Hertz, Averting Strike – Reuters
Teamsters has reached a tentative agreement with Hertz Global, successfully averting a potential strike, the labor union announced on Monday.
Last week, nearly 3,000 Teamsters members from 20 local unions voted in favor of a strike if a new agreement was not finalized by Monday.
Teamsters at Hertz were seeking higher wages as well as contract language that would prevent the establishment of a “two-tier system.”
The workers are currently represented under the Western Regional Master Agreement with Hertz and include locals from various states, such as Arizona, California, Colorado, and Nevada.
