Anthony Pompliano, angel investor and founder of Pomp Investments, recently released a podcast featuring questions from his wife, Polina M. Pompliano, covering various subjects, including Bitcoin, which Pomp passionately supports.

One of the topics discussed was the highly anticipated documentary about the search for Satoshi Nakamoto, titled “Money Electric: Satoshi Mystery,” which premiered earlier this week.

"The World is Better Off Not Knowing Who Satoshi Was"
Pompliano articulated his belief that it’s better for the world to remain unaware of Satoshi’s identity. He used the example of Ethereum and its creator, Vitalik Buterin, to illustrate his point. Pomp suggested that knowing Satoshi’s identity could lead to negative implications, especially if he held controversial political beliefs or had a questionable past. He remarked that Bitcoin benefits from the mystery of its creator, making it superior to other cryptocurrencies. “The world is better off not knowing who Satoshi was,” Pompliano emphasized, echoing his sentiment in a recent tweet.

Regarding the documentary, he mentioned that the creators assembled a collection of random evidence, and he cautioned viewers to watch it solely for entertainment rather than taking it too seriously.

Polina Pompliano noted that many people remain intrigued by Satoshi’s true identity. To this, Pompliano humorously retorted, “Put your curiosity back in your head.”

Vitalik Buterin’s Influence on Ethereum Perception
Pompliano also discussed Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, and its prominent figure, Vitalik Buterin. He observed that some investors might be put off by Buterin’s public persona, referencing his performance at the Token2049 blockchain event in Singapore. Conversely, Pampliano remarked that other investors are drawn to Buterin’s impressive intelligence.

In related news, early Bitcoin investor Samson Mow, who appeared in the HBO documentary, echoed Pompliano’s thoughts on Satoshi, tweeting that Nakamoto anticipated that if Bitcoin achieved success, there would be attempts to target him.
