Tucker Carlson Announces Upcoming Interview with Russia’s Putin, Reports Reuters

Tucker Carlson, a prominent U.S. media figure, announced on Tuesday that he will soon conduct an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He encouraged Americans to tune in to gain insights into Moscow’s motivations behind its 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

In a post from Moscow on a social media platform, Carlson did not provide specifics about the timing of the interview but expressed that the discussion would help Americans understand Russia’s perspective on the ongoing conflict.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov refrained from commenting on whether the interview would occur or if Carlson had met with officials in the Russian presidential administration.

Carlson described the war in Ukraine as a significant humanitarian disaster that has changed long-standing political and trading dynamics globally. He noted that there has been substantial coverage of the viewpoints shared by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

He stated, “Most Americans have no idea why Putin invaded Ukraine or what his goals are now. We are not here because we love Vladimir Putin. We are not encouraging you to agree with what Putin may say in this interview, but we are urging you to watch it. You should know as much as you can.”

Additionally, Carlson mentioned that he has also sought an interview with Zelenskiy.
