
Turkey Stocks Rise at Close of Trade; BIST 100 Up 1.44%
Turkey’s stock market closed higher on Tuesday, boosted by advancements in various sectors.
At the end of trading in Istanbul, the main index climbed by 1.44%.
The top performers of the day included Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS, which surged 9.93% or 0.86 points, reaching a closing price of 9.52. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS followed closely, rising 9.81% or 0.46 points to close at 5.15, while Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS saw an increase of 7.41% or 2.58 points, finishing at 37.40.
Conversely, the biggest declines were seen in Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS, which dropped 10.00% or 19.60 points, closing at 176.40. Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS fell by 3.70% or 2.00 points to close at 52.10, and Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS experienced a decline of 2.96% or 4.10 points, ending at 134.30.
Overall, declining stocks outnumbered those that advanced on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, with 364 falling versus 205 gaining, while 8 remained unchanged.
In commodities, gold futures for December rose by 0.61% or 16.15, reaching $2,668.65 per troy ounce. Crude oil for November delivery increased by 1.29% or 0.91 to $71.28 per barrel, and the December Brent oil contract grew by 1.27% or 0.93, trading at $74.14 per barrel.
In currency exchange, the USD/TRY increased by 0.04% to 34.13, while the EUR/TRY climbed 0.34% to 38.06. Meanwhile, US Dollar Index Futures experienced a decrease of 0.23%, settling at 100.33.
