UK PM May Prepares to Delay Second Brexit Deal Vote Until End of February: The Telegraph By Reuters
British Prime Minister Theresa May is expected to postpone the second vote on her Brexit deal until the end of February, according to a report from the Telegraph. The prime minister’s chief whip, Julian Smith, informed the cabinet on Tuesday that the vote will not take place next week, as May is unlikely to have completed the necessary renegotiations in time.
The United Kingdom is scheduled to exit the European Union on March 29. On January 29, lawmakers voted to require May to seek amendments to the exit treaty.
