UK PM May’s Deputy – Report by Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) – David Lidington, the Cabinet Office minister of the UK, responded to European Council President Donald Tusk’s remarks suggesting that Brexiteers lacking a clear delivery plan deserve a “special place in hell,” calling it a lack of diplomatic finesse.

“I would say it wasn’t the most brilliant diplomacy,” Lidington shared during an interview with BBC radio.

He added, “Anyone who has occasionally observed the House of Commons knows that intemperate and exaggerated language isn’t exclusive to Brussels. I believe Mr. Tusk was expressing his frustrations yesterday.”
