US Collaborates with Airlines to Increase Flights from Lebanon for Americans – Reuters
The United States is collaborating with airlines to arrange additional flights from Lebanon to accommodate more American citizens, according to a statement from the State Department on Tuesday. This announcement comes in the wake of Israel’s report that its troops have initiated ground operations in Lebanon.
State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller noted that approximately 6,000 U.S. citizens in Lebanon have registered for information on leaving the country. However, he clarified that not all of these individuals are actively seeking assistance to depart.
