Emergency authorities in Hamilton County issued an urgent warning, advising individuals to “IMMEDIATELY GO INDOORS and stay inside until further notice.” They recommended sealing doors and windows, closing fireplace dampers, and turning off heating systems.
Reports indicated that residents in the Cleves and Whitewater Township areas were instructed to evacuate immediately due to the leak. Officials stated that the incident originated from a train car with an open valve, which released styrene gas.
