US NHC Reports 80% Chance of Cyclone in Central Subtropical Atlantic, According to Reuters
A non-tropical low-pressure system situated several hundred miles east-northeast of Bermuda over the central subtropical Atlantic has an 80% likelihood of transforming into a cyclone within the next 48 hours, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) on Wednesday.
The Miami-based forecaster noted that if current trends persist, the system is expected to become a tropical storm soon. It is anticipated that the system will continue to move predominantly east-northeast, remaining within the central and eastern subtropical Atlantic region.
