Venezuela’s AG Requests Interpol to Issue Arrest Warrant for Argentina’s Milei, Reports Reuters
Venezuela’s Attorney General Tarek Saab announced on Tuesday that he has requested Interpol to issue an arrest warrant for Argentine President Javier Milei, marking an escalation in the ongoing diplomatic tensions between the two nations.
Earlier on Monday, Argentina’s federal judicial authorities sought the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, citing human rights violations based on a request from an Argentine advocacy group.
The diplomatic conflict began after a Venezuelan airplane was seized in Buenos Aires in June 2022, with Venezuela accusing Milei of various offenses, including robbery.
