Vietnam Grants Amnesty to 20 Foreign Prisoners, Including Chinese and U.S. Citizens, Reports Reuters
Vietnam has announced an amnesty for 20 foreign prisoners, including nine individuals from China and two citizens from the United States, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet. This announcement was made during a press conference in connection with the President’s amnesty on the occasion of the country’s National Day, which will affect a total of over 3,760 inmates. The foreign prisoners were convicted of various crimes, including murder, smuggling, and gambling.
