UK to Present Irish Border Proposals ‘in a Few Days’: Hunt, According to Reuters
LONDON (Reuters) – Britain is set to spend a few days developing proposals aimed at addressing Irish border arrangements following Brexit, according to Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt during a Thursday interview on BBC Radio.
“We will compile those proposals, and it will take a few days to accomplish this,” he stated.
Hunt expressed optimism about the various solutions that have been discussed, emphasizing the need to ensure that the proposals address the concerns raised by the European Union before initiating a substantive discussion.
He also noted that it is premature to determine whether an extension to the Brexit timeline will be necessary, with the departure date scheduled for March 29.
