Wall Street Starts Strong Following Robust Payroll Data, According to Reuters
Wall Street’s major indexes experienced an upward trend on Friday, following a key labor report that alleviated fears of a rapid decline in the job market. Investors, however, remained cautious regarding possible escalations in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
At the opening, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 236.7 points, or 0.56%, reaching 42,248.26. The S&P 500 increased by 37.5 points, or 0.66%, to 5,737.48, while the Nasdaq composite climbed by 211.9 points, or 1.18%, to 18,130.421 as the market opened.
