Greece Stocks Rise at Market Close; Athens General Composite Increases by 0.63%

Greece’s stock market experienced gains on Thursday, driven predominantly by positive performance in various sectors. At the end of the trading day in Athens, the market index rose by 0.63%.

The highlight of the session was Lamda Develop, which saw an increase of 3.31%, adding 0.24 points to reach a closing value of 7.49. Intralot followed closely behind with a 3.19% increase, or 0.04 points, finishing at 1.17. Public Power also performed well, rising 3.11% or 0.35 points to close at 11.62.

Conversely, Kri-Kri Milk registered the steepest decline, falling 2.99% or 0.40 points to end the day at 13.00. J. & P. Avax saw a slight dip of 0.90%, down 0.01 points to close at 1.33, while Techn Olympic decreased by 0.82%, losing 0.02 points to finish at 2.42.

On the Athens Stock Exchange, advancing stocks outnumbered those that declined, with 72 shares rising against 40 that fell, while 23 remained unchanged.

In commodities, gold futures for December delivery rose by 0.28%, or 7.30 points, bringing the price to $2,605.90 per troy ounce. Crude oil for November delivery increased by 0.90%, reaching $70.51 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract gained 0.84%, trading at $74.27 a barrel.

In foreign exchange markets, the EUR/USD pair saw minimal movement, remaining stable with a slight change of 0.01% at 1.11, and EUR/GBP experienced a minor increase of 0.20%, sitting at 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.39%, reaching a level of 100.68.
