XRP Drops 10% in Market Rout

XRP was trading at $0.4215 as of 20:45 (00:45 GMT) on Friday, reflecting a decline of 10.03% for the day. This marks the largest single-day percentage drop since April 13.

The downward movement has reduced XRP’s market capitalization to approximately $23.6946 billion, representing 1.14% of the entire cryptocurrency market. XRP’s market cap once reached a peak of $83.4407 billion.

In the preceding 24 hours, XRP traded within a range of $0.4209 to $0.4329. Over the past week, the value of XRP has decreased by 10.34%. The trading volume of XRP over the last 24 hours was around $1.5908 billion, accounting for 1.61% of the total trading volume across all cryptocurrencies. In the last week, XRP’s trading range extended from $0.4209 to $0.4887.

Currently, XRP’s price remains 87.19% lower than its all-time high of $3.29 achieved on January 4, 2018.

In other cryptocurrency developments, Bitcoin was last noted at $56,990.2, down 5.68% for the day. Meanwhile, Ethereum was trading at $3,078.56, reflecting a loss of 6.92%.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood at approximately $1,118.70 billion, representing 53.97% of the overall cryptocurrency market, while Ethereum’s market cap was around $367.59 billion, making up 17.73% of the total cryptocurrency value.
