Blockchain.com to Support Russian Ruble Amid Local Crypto Uncertainty
Blockchain.com, a prominent cryptocurrency wallet and blockchain data provider, is preparing to support Russia’s national currency, the ruble (RUB). While some major exchanges, including Binance, have already integrated the Russian ruble, there is currently no legislation permitting the use of cryptocurrency within the country.
On May 20, Blockchain.com unveiled its long-term vision, titled “The next era of crypto and 1B wallets by 2030.” In a statement from Peter Smith, the CEO and co-founder of Blockchain.com, the company expressed its goal of incorporating the Russian ruble as part of its strategy to expand its user base from approximately 50 million crypto wallets to 1 billion by the year 2030.
