Czech Hacker Offers $17 Million for Seized Hard Drive
A Czech hacker whose hard drive was confiscated by authorities during a fraud investigation allegedly attempted to bribe a police officer with $17 million in exchange for the return of the drive. This hard drive is believed to contain 3,200 Bitcoins hidden within encrypted data. The bribery offer was made through a third party, but the plan fell apart when the police officer reported the incident. As a result, Peter Krzystka is now facing additional charges of attempted bribery.
