Canada to Supply Ukraine with Over 80,000 Unarmed Small Rockets and Some Warheads, According to Reuters
Canada is set to send 80,840 surplus small unarmed air-to-surface rockets to Ukraine, along with 1,300 warheads, as announced by Defense Minister Bill Blair on Friday.
In June, Canada had already initiated a shipment of 2,160 unarmed CRV7 rockets, which can be outfitted with various warheads designed to target buildings, tanks, or personnel.
Additionally, Canada will donate chassis assemblies from 29 M113 armored personnel carriers and 64 Coyote armored vehicles that are no longer in use by the Canadian armed forces, according to Blair.
Since the onset of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Canada has committed approximately C$4.5 billion (around $3.3 billion) in military aid.
