Craig Wright Issues Epic ‘Not Satoshi’ Notice

In a surprising twist, Craig Wright, who has long claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin (BTC), has publicly stated that he is not Satoshi Nakamoto. This declaration comes shortly after a High Court ruling in the United Kingdom, which found Wright to be dishonest in his assertions about being the anonymous figure behind Bitcoin.

The court’s ruling accused Wright of “lying to the Court extensively and repeatedly,” forging documents on a large scale, and constructing a “false narrative” to support his primary falsehood—that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of the renowned cryptocurrency.

The High Court’s order, which Wright partially shared in his announcement, makes it unequivocally clear that he is not the author of the Bitcoin whitepaper, does not possess its copyright, and was not the individual operating under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto from 2008 to 2011. Furthermore, the court concluded that Wright had neither created the Bitcoin system nor authored the initial versions of the BTC software.

To prevent any further legal actions stemming from his false claims, the court has prohibited Wright from initiating any proceedings related to his assertions, whether directly or through proxies. Interestingly, he is also banned from even threatening such actions.

The reason behind this sudden admission is unclear, but it could signify a dramatic conclusion to a saga that has intrigued both the cryptocurrency community and the general public for years.
